AUTOMOBILI LAMBORGHINI TO BE FEATURED MARQUE AT 2008 PEBBLE BEACH CONCOURS D'ELEGANCE


Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. will be showcased as the featured marque at the 58th Annual Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on Sunday, August 17, 2008, at The Lodge at Pebble Beach. The acclaimed Italian super sports car manufacturer will showcase a few of the brand's most exclusive Lamborghini models at the prestigious event, including the newly-launched 2009 Gallardo LP560-4, the world-renowned Reventón and the historic Lamborghini P140 prototype.

The 2009 Gallardo LP560-4, heir to Lamborghini's most successful vehicle model of all time, arrives at all 34 North American dealerships in late-summer of 2008. The all-new 560 horsepower LP560-4 replaces the previous Gallardo model, which sold more than 7,000 units, and features a powerful new engine, permanent four-wheel drive transmission and new suspension while delivering clearly improved performance and driving dynamics.

With just 20 produced, the 1 million Euro Lamborghini Reventón is a symbol of extreme exclusivity, yet still offers extraordinary performance. The Reventón was entirely designed in Sant'Agata Bolognese, the original birthplace of the Lamborghini, and is the perfect synthesis between the exclusivity and appeal of a limited edition design masterpiece, and the dynamism and drivability of a standard sports car.

The Lamborghini P140, the proposed successor to the Jalpa, was designed with one goal in mind: superior styling. The designers took design cues of the Miura, Countach and Diablo to create a unique, new vehicle that was still purely a Lamborghini. Lamborghini produced an all-new 4 liter V10 engine specifically for the prototype, although the brand eventually decided not to produce the P140 to concentrate on later Diablo models.

LAMBORGHINI DEBUTS NEW SHOWROOM ON THE LAS VEGAS STRIP WITH THE WORLD’S FIRST LAMBORGHINI FASHION BOUTIQUE


Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., welcomed VIPs, celebrities and Lamborghini executives to the grand opening celebration of Lamborghini’s newest showroom and the world’s first Collezione Automobili Lamborghini fashion boutique on Saturday, August 9. To appeal to all visitors’ senses, Lamborghini Las Vegas also partnered with Dal Toro, a new world-class Italian restaurant adjacent to the dealership to provide an all-Italian experience.

The Collezione Automobili Lamborghini fashion line is comprised of men’s, women’s and junior’s collections for all four seasons. These collections include swimsuits, fur-trimmed jackets, and crest-embroidered polos, as well as accessories including hats, shoes, briefcases, iPod cases and more. The collection is tailored not only to Lamborghini buyers, but to the luxury consumer who values quality, style and elegance.

The two-story, 20,000 square-foot showroom at the Palazzo is one of 34
Lamborghini dealerships in North America. At the grand opening celebration, VIP guests were surrounded by the luxurious style of Lamborghini amidst the glamour of the Las Vegas strip. A Collezione Automobili Lamborghini fashion show kicked off the event, with stylish pieces from the 2008 clothing and accessories collection taking centre stage.

Since the beginning of 2005, Automobili Lamborghini has strategically increased its global reach from 65 to 116 dealers worldwide; 34 of these dealers are located in North America, including three Canadian dealers. Last year was a record year for the brand with 2,406 cars delivered worldwide.

Versace and Lamborghini, collaborators since 2006, proudly announce the launch of the new Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640 Roadster VERSACE and a unique collection of accessories, both to be previewed for the first time at the Maison's Via Gesù 12, Milan on Monday June 23rd, 2008.

To create the new super roadster, the Maison Versace's designers joined forces with designers from the Lamborghini Design Centre (Centro Stile)and specialists working on the "ad personam" project. This Lamborghini program allows individual clients to create personalised sports cars, choosing the equipment specification, the colour of the exterior body and of the interior fittings.

The new limited edition Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640 Roadster VERSACE, which will be produced to order, displays a pastel white livery and the Versace Greek key motif on the lower part of the door. Equipped for the very first time with a transparent engine hood that reveals the powerful V12 engine, this model has been reconfigured internally. The cradle seats are clad in black and white leather, while opulent full grain soft nappa leather - hand-embroidered with the Versace Greek fret motif - upholsters the instrument panel, the doors and the central console.

The rigorous design and minimal lines of the Murciélago engine hood inspired the Versace Collection LP 640 range of accessories, which will also be previewed for the first time globally. Exclusively crafted in black matte calf skin, models include: a trolley bag, suit carrier, sports bag, as well as a briefcase, suitcase, gloves, driving shoes, belt, wallet, key ring, beauty case, hat and a pair of jeans. These hand-made accessories boast traditional craftsmanship, stitching and edging à la française and a palladium-engraved tag displaying both the Versace and Lamborghini logos.
This prestigious accessory collection will be exclusively available at Versace Boutiques and selected Lamborghini showrooms beginning in November 2008.

Gianni Versace's CEO Giancarlo Di Risio emphasised: "This new supercar and the exclusive Collection LP640 represent a natural evolution of excellence for both Versace and Lamborghini through the creation of these unique, one-of-a-kind projects."

The Lamborghini Reventón flies over Turin

The city of Turin looked to the sky today to see the new heights achieved by Lamborghini.

The Lamborghini Reventón was carried by military helicopter over the automotive capital of Italy, thanks to the special co-operation of the Marina Militare Italiana (the Italian marines). It landed on the rooftop of the Lingotto building, and closed a conference hosted today by Lamborghini, entitled "Lamborghini and speed - a project in record time". The conference explored the extraordinary timescales and design and production abilities demonstrated by Lamborghini in producing its € 1 million euro supercar, of which all 20 units have been sold worldwide.

The conference was attended by local, international and academic VIPs including representatives from the automotive industry. Lamborghini's conference was part of the "Turin 2008 - World Design Capital" programme of events.
