Automobili Lamborghini expands into Russia

Automobili Lamborghini announced today that it has appointed Mercury automotive division as its authorized dealer in Russia.

The authorized service center will open in Moscow in July, when the dealer will start accepting the first customer orders for Lamborghini supercars.

Reiter-run Lamborghini shows performance gains at Monza

In yesterday?s opening round of the FIA GT Championship at Monza, Italy, the Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Murci?lago R-GT showed that revisions to its technical specification have brought performance gains.
Driven by Peter Kox and Norman Simon, the R-GT qualified within 1.2 seconds of the pole-position Maserati MC12, and gained 16 positions in the race before being knocked off the circuit by a rival. Team boss Hans Reiter, encouraged by this performance, forecasts that the car will show more strongly in future races when it incorporates further technical modifications.

The spectacular Lamborghinis of the Krohn-Barbour Racing team will make their return to the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) this weekend in one of the season?s biggest events, Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta, Braselton, Georgia. Returning to action after missing the last two rounds, the Road Atlanta-based team has recruited two additional drivers for this long-distance race: the regular driver pairing of David Brabham and Peter Kox will be supported in the number 5 Lamborghini Murci?lago R-GT by Nic Jonsson, while the number 6 car of Tracy Krohn and Scott Maxwell will also be driven by Joe Fox.
