Christophe Bouchut and Stefan Mücke started the season in the best possible way, giving All-Inkl.com Racing and the Lamborghini Murciélago their first FIA GT win. With the new two-hour format, where strategy is incredibly important, the timing of the pit stops along with a safety-car period saw the nr 7 car take the lead. At the re-start, a storming Bouchut kept the lead ahead of Philipp Peter, sharing the nr 19 PSI Experience Corvette C6 with FIA GT newcomer Luke Hines, and the PK Carsport Corvette C5 of Bert Longin and Anthony Kumpen. With fastest laps being set one after the other, a frantic finish finally saw Lamborghini claim its first win.


The GT2 race was equally exciting, with a chaotic start seeing the leading cars fall back, catching up later. First across the line was the BMS Scuderia Italia Porsche 997 GT3 RSR; however, the car later failed scrutineering due to the ground clearance. Itss exclusion meant that AF Corse Motorola Ferrari cars took first and second, giving Dirk Müller and Toni Vilander their first victory. Stéphane Ortelli and Gianmaria Bruni, whose car had been delayed due to a puncture, were second, with Scuderia Ecosse's Mullen and Enge third.

With reference to some recent articles which have appeared in the press regarding a presumed new model "Lamborghini Alar 777" which will be presented in Buenos Aires, Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. confirm that no license agreement exists on the utilisation of our marque, no official Lamborghini distributor exists for the South American market and Lamborghini has never authorised the development or manufacture of such a vehicle in the aforementioned market.

• In financial year 2006 (ending Dec 31), the Italian Supersportscar Manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. achieved the third record year in a row after having reached profitability in 2004. All key business figures are up clearly and reach new all-time highs. Deliveries to customers grew by over 30% and reached 2087 cars, thus surpassing the 2000-unit limit for the first time in the history of the company. Total revenues increased by 43% from 243,0 Mio.€ to 346,3 Mio.€. Having turned profitable in 2004 already, 2006 marks highly over proportional profit growth. Result before tax increased by 311% and reached 18,1 Mio.€. All major figures are clearly above plan and above the growth of the market segment. ....
