Marcel de Lange (Dec 29. 1963 - Oct 30. 2006)
a sad news of our friend Marcel
A very unfortunate news reached us last week, Marcel de Lange passed away on October 30. 2006. This Dutch based Lamborghini enthusiast contributed massively to the Raging Bull community over the years, he attended the most important Lamborghini events worldwide and was often seen at the factory, were he became close friends to the most important people at Sant'Agata.
His knowledge and collection of photographs on Lamborghini are probably unsurpassed, he could easily be called a walking Lamborghini encyclopedia, registering chassis numbers of most of the cars he photographed during his travels, and visits to the most important automotive factories in Europe.
His passing at such a young age came as a massive shock to all Lamborghini enthusiasts who knew him, I've personally met Marcel several times, both during events and at the factory, always ready to share his knowledge on these amazing cars, I don't think there was a single Lamborghini question he couldn't answer.
I am confident to say that this is an important loss to all Lamborghini enthusiast, but I'm also sure that his massive wealth of knowledge and devotion to the Lamborghini make will always be remembered...
Marcel Philip de Lange (on the right on the photographs)

For the first time, the All-Inkl.com Racing Lamborghini Murciélago has led a session in the FIA GT Championship. The car, which has been improving steadily over the season, has moved over to Michelin tyres for this race - and immediately leapt to the top of the time sheets. Christophe Bouchut, sharing the car with Peter Kox once again, set a time of 1:12.410 to lead an extremely close session.
In effect, the top eight cars were separated by just 1 second, with the two Maserati MC12 cars following the Lamborghini. Circuit specialist Babini was fourth in the BMS Aston Martin, ahead of the Zakspeed Saleen and the GLPK Carsport Corvette.
The GT2 cars are very close to the GT1 cars at this track. The leading Ferrari 430 GT2, the nr 62 Scuderia Ecosse car of Kinch and Kirkaldy, was only 3.2 seconds off pole. The second Scuderia Ecosse car was second, driven this weekend by Tim Mullen and Marino Franchitti, with newcomer Edil Cris Racing third, the car in the hands of Paolo Ruberti and Raffaele Giammaria. The leading Porsche was fourth, the nr 75 Ebimotors car of Riccitelli and Collard. |
